What Is SERCYPAA?
Pronounced SUR-kee-pah, the Southeast Regional Conference of Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous currently serves A.A.’s Southeast Region that includes Alabama/Northwest Florida, North Florida, South Florida (including Antigua, the Bahamas, U.S. & British Virgin Islands, St. Maarten and Cayman Islands), Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Puerto Rico, as well as Arkansas and Texas. The conference is held annually, usually during the summer months.
The 2026 SERCYPAA conference is hosted by the members of Alabama/NW Florida — the FlorAABama Bid — on the beautiful, sugar-white sands of the Gulf. The theme this year is “Desired Shore of Faith” from the big book Alcoholics Anonymous, page 53,
“Arrived at this point, we were squarely confronted with the question of faith. We couldn’t duck the issue. Some of us had already walked far over the Bridge of Reason toward the desired shore of faith. The outlines and the promise of the New Land had brought lustre to tired eyes and fresh courage to flagging spirits. Friendly hands had stretched out in welcome. We were grateful that Reason had brought us so far. But somehow, we couldn’t quite step ashore. Perhaps we had been leaning too heavily on Reason that last mile and we did not like to lose our support.”
Come, step ashore with us. Enjoy our little piece of paradise and join us on the desired shore of faith!
